We are not accepting new patients at this time.

For online appointments: At this time there is some inconsistency in which insurance plans will continue to cover online telemedicine appointments in the same way they would cover in-person appointments. If your plan covers telemedicine, deductibles and co-pays still apply. You may contact the office 1 or more days before your appointment to doublecheck your covered benefits. If your plan is a federal plan which does not cover a telemedicine visit or if you are using an insurance with which we are not in-network, you may use this telemedicine at your discretion, but to do so means you are financially responsible for paying the out-of-network follow-up appointment rate. We can provide a claim form for patients using out-of-network benefits to request reimbursement from their insurer.
At the time of your scheduled appointment, log in to https://DrRickenbacker.doxy.me . You will need access to a phone, laptop, or other device that has a microphone and camera capability. We must have your telemedicine consent form on file (link below).

Important considerations for new patients: Be advised that Dr. Rickenbacker does not attest to psychiatric disability during initial visits and will not continue it simply because your last provider initiated it. Also, Dr. Rickenbacker does not routinely recommend long-term use of daily benzodiazepine medication (trade names include Xanax, Valium, Klonopin, among others). She can work with you to create a plan to taper off these medications safely. Please consider this before scheduling your initial appointment.
You are responsible for understanding the limits of your insurance coverage, to include deductibles. We are only in-network with Aetna, BlueCross/BlueShield, ComPsych, and some Seton Insurance plans at this time. If your insurance card references Value Options, Optum, Pacificare (or others) for behavioral health, this would be out-of-network, and you would be responsible the cost of the visit at the time of your appointment.
